Terms of Service

Effective date: Fill inEFFECTIVE DATE

These terms apply when you use CheerTicketing. That includes:

  • visiting cheerticketing.com or any promoter's ticket site on our platform
  • buying, receiving or using tickets
  • using a fan account
  • getting our emails or texts

Please read them, especially "All sales are final" (section 6) and "Disputes" (section 20).

1. Agreeing to these terms#

You agree when you use the service. By using CheerTicketing, or by ticking the box at checkout, you agree to:

  • these terms
  • the CheerTicketing ticket policy

How we handle your information. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

If you buy for someone else. If you buy or accept tickets for someone else, such as your child, you agree to these terms for them. You are also responsible for making sure they follow the event's rules.

2. Who we are, and who sells your ticket#

CheerTicketing is CheerTicketing LLC. Our contact details:

We are called "CheerTicketing", "we" or "us" in these terms.

The promoter runs the event and sells you the ticket.

  • Each event is organized by a promoter: the business named on the event's ticket site and at checkout.
  • The promoter is responsible for the event itself. That includes the date, venue, schedule, performances, safety and rules.
  • The promoter is the seller of your ticket, and your payment goes to the promoter's own Stripe account. Checkout tells you who you're buying from and what your card statement will say.

CheerTicketing provides the ticketing service. We:

  • run the ticket sites, checkout, order pages, wallet passes and the apps used at the gate
  • provide customer support to fans
  • decide and issue any refunds, on the promoter's behalf

What we don't do. We do not organize, run or control events, and we are not the seller of your ticket. To confirm

3. Who can use CheerTicketing#

Age. You must be at least 18 years old to buy tickets or create a fan account.

Ticket holders can be any age. For example, a parent can buy tickets for a child, or send a ticket to a child's name.

Where you can use it. You may use CheerTicketing only where it is legal for you to do so.

4. Fan accounts#

Optional. You don't need an account to buy tickets. An account lets you see all your CheerTicketing tickets in one place, across every promoter's site.

How you sign in: with a code we email you, a password, or your Google account.

Keep your account secure.

  • Keep your email account and password secure.
  • Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
  • You are responsible for activity in your account, unless it happened because of our failure.

Closing your account.

  • You can delete your account at any time from Account › Privacy and settings.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used for fraud.

5. Buying tickets#

Prices.

  • Prices are in US dollars, and the price shown is the price you pay.
  • We don't add service or processing fees at checkout ("All fees included").
  • To confirm

Payment.

  • You pay by credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, through Stripe.
  • Your card details go directly to Stripe. We never see your full card number.
  • The charge is made to the promoter's Stripe account and appears on your statement under the promoter's name.
  • Stripe's own terms also apply to your payment.

Order limits.

  • You can buy up to 10 tickets in one order. The limit is shown at checkout. To confirm
  • Promoters may set other limits for an event. You must not get around limits, for example by using several names, emails or cards to buy more than the limit allows.

Holding tickets.

  • When you continue to payment, we hold your tickets for a limited time, shown on the checkout page (currently 30 minutes).
  • Nothing is charged until you pay.
  • If the hold runs out, the tickets may go to someone else.

Late payments.

  • If your payment arrives after your hold ends, we still issue your tickets if any are left.
  • If the event or ticket type has sold out by then, we will not issue tickets. We will refund your full payment automatically and email you.

Your order is confirmed when we show the confirmation page or send your confirmation email with your tickets. If you don't get the email, use "Find my tickets" on the event site or contact support.

Mistakes. If a price or ticket was clearly listed in error, we may cancel the affected order and give you a full refund. We will tell you if this happens. To confirm

Door sales.

  • At some events you can buy tickets at the door from the promoter's staff, by card or in cash.
  • Door sales are covered by these terms too.
  • If you ask for an email receipt, the staff member will type your email address into their app.

6. All sales are final#

Our ticket policy is: "All sales are final. For help with your order please contact CheerTicketing support."

This means you cannot cancel an order or return tickets because your plans changed. CheerTicketing support is here to help with any problem with your order.

When we do refund. CheerTicketing decides all refunds. We issue them on the promoter's behalf.

SituationWhat happens
The event is cancelledWe refund every order for that event. You don't need to ask
The event is postponed or movedYour tickets stay valid for the new date, time or venue. If a refund option is offered, we email you a link where you can choose to keep your tickets or get a refund, by the deadline shown. If you don't choose, your tickets stay valid To confirm
You paid after your hold ended and the event had sold outFull automatic refund; no tickets are issued
You bought the same tickets twice by mistakeContact support ("Bought this twice by mistake?" on your order page). We may refund the duplicate, at our discretion
Anything elseYou can ask for a refund from your order page or through support. We may decide to refund in special cases, at our discretion. Asking does not guarantee a refund

How refunds work:

  • Refunds go back to the original payment method. Card refunds usually take 5 to 10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
  • A refund is for the amount you paid for the refunded tickets.
  • Refunded tickets are cancelled and will not work at the door.
  • Tickets that have already been scanned for entry cannot be refunded.
  • To confirm

Costs we don't cover. We are not responsible for travel, hotel or other costs you incur because of an event change or cancellation, unless the law requires otherwise.

7. Changes to events#

Events can change. The promoter may change an event's date, time, venue, schedule or participants.

What we'll tell you. We will email ticket buyers about important changes, including postponements and cancellations, using the email on the order.

  • Please keep your email address correct.
  • If you sent a ticket to someone, we also email that person.

A postponed event may first be marked "date to be announced". Your tickets stay valid unless you choose a refund when one is offered.

8. Your tickets and ticket codes#

Each ticket has its own code. Each ticket has a QR code and a short code. One ticket admits one person.

How codes are checked:

  • One entry per code, per event day. Each code can be used for one entry per event day, unless the promoter allows re-entry for that event.
  • The first scan wins. If copies of a code are shown, only the first is admitted. Later copies are refused as "already scanned".
  • Screenshots and copies are not protected. Gate staff may ask for your live wallet pass or ticket page instead.
  • Replaced codes stop working. When a ticket is sent to someone else, or reissued for security, it gets a new code and the old code is refused.
  • Offline entry. Gate staff can scan without an internet connection. If the same code is used at two gates while offline, the duplicate is flagged when the phones reconnect, and the promoter may follow up.

Keep your tickets private.

  • Your order email contains a link to your order. Anyone with that link can view your tickets and send them to someone else.
  • Don't post codes, screenshots or order links online.
  • We are not responsible for tickets that cannot be used because you shared a code or link.

Tickets can be cancelled or paused. We or the promoter may cancel or pause tickets that were bought with fraud, refunded, or are the subject of a payment dispute (see section 11).

Tickets from anyone else. Tickets bought from anyone other than the promoter through CheerTicketing may be invalid, already used or replaced. We cannot help with tickets bought that way.

9. Sending tickets to someone else#

How to send a ticket.

  • You can send a ticket to another person from your order page. You enter their name and email.
  • The recipient gets a new code in their name, and your copy stops working.
  • You can take a ticket back until it has been scanned.

When you can't send a ticket.

  • A ticket can't be sent once it has been scanned, if it has already been sent, or if the event is cancelled or over.
  • People who receive a ticket cannot send it on.

The recipient's details.

  • Only enter someone's details if you have their permission.
  • For a child, please use a parent's or guardian's email address.

Sending is free. Sending a ticket is a free way to share it.

10. Getting into the event#

Rules at the event.

  • The promoter and the venue set the rules for the event, such as bags, re-entry, photography, behavior and health and safety.
  • They may refuse entry or remove anyone who breaks those rules, without a refund.
  • Please check the event page and any messages from the promoter.

ID. Some tickets, such as will-call pickups, may require photo ID matching the name on the ticket. To confirm

Entry decisions. Gate staff make entry decisions using the ticket status they see. Tickets that are refunded, replaced, cancelled or paused will be refused or sent to a supervisor.

Responsibility for the event. The promoter and venue are responsible for the event, the venue and safety there. CheerTicketing is not.

11. Payment disputes (chargebacks)#

Contact us first. If something is wrong with your order, contact support before disputing the charge with your bank. We can usually fix it faster.

If you dispute a charge:

  • The tickets on that order may be paused, and gate staff will refer them to a supervisor.
  • If the dispute is decided in your favor, the tickets are cancelled.
  • To respond to a dispute, we and the promoter may give the card network proof of your purchase. This proof includes your name, email, the IP address used, and whether the tickets were sent, added to a wallet or scanned.

Improper disputes. If you dispute a charge for tickets you used or received, we may refuse future purchases. We may also share the facts with the promoter.

12. Wallet passes#

How passes work.

  • We can add your tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. A provider called WalletWallet creates the passes for us, and Apple and Google store them.
  • A pass shows the event, venue, date, ticket type, the holder's name and the ticket code.
  • If you send a ticket to someone, or it is refunded, your pass stops working.

Your ticket page is the backup. Passes depend on those third-party services and may not always be available. Your QR code on the ticket page always works as a backup.

13. Messages from us#

Emails.

  • We email you about your orders and tickets. That includes receipts, tickets, changes to your event, refunds, security and sign-in codes.
  • These emails are part of the service, and you can't unsubscribe from them while you hold tickets.
  • Event reminders, and news from a promoter you agreed to hear from, are optional. Every one has an unsubscribe link.

Texts. To confirm

  • Opting in: if you opt in at checkout, CheerTicketing will text you your tickets and event-day updates. Opting in is not required to buy.
  • Frequency: message frequency varies, and is at most 12 texts a day.
  • Costs: message and data rates may apply.
  • Opting out: reply STOP to stop all texts, START to resume, and HELP for help, or email support@cheerticketing.com.
  • Carriers: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Your consent: your mobile number and consent are not shared with third parties for marketing.
  • More details: see the Privacy Policy, section 10.

14. How you may not use CheerTicketing#

You must not:

  • Fraudulent payments: use a stolen card or someone else's payment details, or make fraudulent purchases or refund claims.
  • Automated buying: use bots, scripts or other automated means to buy tickets, hold tickets, or get around order limits. This is also illegal under the federal BOTS Act.
  • Fake codes: copy, alter, forge or sell ticket codes, wallet passes or order links.
  • Unauthorized access: access accounts, orders or data that aren't yours, or try to get around our security or rate limits.
  • Disruption: scrape, overload or disrupt the service, or reverse-engineer our apps, except where the law allows it.
  • Impersonation: pretend to be someone else, a promoter or CheerTicketing.
  • Harassment: harass, threaten or abuse our staff, promoters' staff or other fans.
  • Unlawful use: use the service for anything unlawful.

What we may do. If you break these rules, we may:

  • cancel your orders without a refund To confirm
  • close your account
  • refuse future purchases
  • report the matter to the promoter or the authorities

15. Our content and promoters' content#

What belongs to whom.

  • The CheerTicketing service, name, logo, software and design belong to CheerTicketing.
  • Promoters' names, logos, event images and descriptions belong to the promoters.

What you may do. You may use the service only for personal, non-commercial purposes, to find, buy, manage and use tickets.

Feedback. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

16. Other services#

CheerTicketing works with services run by other companies, including Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in), Apple and Google (wallet passes) and WalletWallet (wallet passes).

  • Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms.
  • We are not responsible for them.
  • Links to maps, calendars and other sites are for convenience only.

17. Disclaimers#

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, CheerTicketing disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not promise that the service will always be available or error-free.

The event is the promoter's responsibility. The promoter, not CheerTicketing, is responsible for the event and for any promises about it.

18. Limits on our liability#

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • CheerTicketing is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Nor is it liable for lost profits, travel or accommodation costs, or loss of enjoyment.
  • CheerTicketing's total liability for any claim relating to the service or your tickets is limited to the greater of:
    • (a) the amount you paid for the tickets involved, or
    • (b) $100.
  • CheerTicketing is not responsible for events, or for the acts or omissions of promoters, venues or other fans.

Where these limits don't apply.

  • Some laws don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

To confirm

21. Changes to these terms#

We may update these terms from time to time.

  • How we'll tell you: we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change is important, we will tell you by email or with a notice on our sites before it takes effect.
  • Purchases already made: changes don't apply to tickets you already bought, except where the law requires otherwise or the change benefits you. Your purchase stays under the terms and ticket policy you agreed to at checkout.
